Turkey’s role in the International Development Road project in Iraq

This research aims to highlight the International Development Road project in Iraq and Turkey's significant role in completing this vital trade project, as it is considered one of Iraq's largest trading partners. Being a neighbor of Iraq, Turkey has a considerable impact on various fields such as economy, politics, and security. Due to its geographical proximity to Iraq, it serves as a key gateway for Iraqi goods to global markets and vice versa. The importance of the International Development Road project lies in its status as a major regional project, playing a vital role in global trade once completed, serving as a bridge for international trade and energy resources transportation, in partnership with Turkey, the UAE, and Qatar. The research addresses two main questions: What is the strategic and economic importance of the Development Road for both Turkey and Iraq? What role does Turkey play in the completion of this project? The study includes an introductory section, four main topics, as well as a conclusion and findings, emphasizing Turkey's significance in completing this vital road connecting Iraq to Europe, reaching London.
