Abstract

The aim of the study was to find the current image and spatial distribution of railway networks in the Arab Levant countries, diagnose the impact of the natural and human foundations along the railways and their reflection on the reality of economic activity in the study area, find spatial balance options, and propose future projects for railway networks in the Arab Levant countries, whether Whether they were regional or individual projects, and benefiting from the experiences of some countries in the field of developing railway transport, especially the use of technology and electrical energy to operate it, and investing in this sector to increase profitable revenues for railway transport.


 The study concluded that the location of the Arab Levant countries has a distinguished location in terms of geography, economics and politics, as well as cultural depth, as it occupies the heart of the Afro-Eurasian world, which contributed to the extension of railway lines amounting to 20,789 km, distributed over an area estimated at about 3,995,764 square km, and with a population of about 509,331 thousand people.
