The impact of climate on electricity consumption in the zummar district

The research employs a systems analysis approach to break down the studied phenomenon into its constituent elements and identify the interrelationships between environment
and the climatic , the electrical system The results revealed a consumption pattern characterized by a "double peak," with demand rising sharply in both summer and winter. due to extreme temperature fluctuations. Summer recorded the highest historical consumption rates, particularly in August 2025, reaching 26,352 MWh, coinciding with the peak sunshine hours and maximum temperatures. Conversely, the study showed a significant decrease in consumption during spring and autumn due to the prevalence of "thermal comfort" and moderate atmospheric pressure indicators. The research also found that the increase in energy consumption is not solely due to climate change; rather, the past five years have witnessed steady growth exceeding 70% in some months, indicating the impact of factors such as population expansion and economic activity .
