The Discourse Of Intercultural Exchange In Hassan Ourid's )Zinat Al-Dunya(
No
Abstract
Discourse Is Not Limited To Describing Cultural Interaction, But Reveals The Manner Of Acculturation In Light Of Intellectual, Social, And Religious Differences And The Historical Contexts That Accompanied It, And The Resulting Civilizational And Societal Changes That Humans Experienced, Especially After The Great Civilizational And Cultural Interaction That Andalusia Witnessed, Which In Turn Witnessed A Change In Cultural Frameworks And Lifestyles. The Act Of Acculturation Is A Product Of The Coexistence Of Multiple Cultures (Islamic, Christian, And Jewish) Within One Space, As A Complex Interaction Arose That Was Not Always Balanced. This Discourse Manifested Itself Linguistically In The Interaction Between Arabic And Other Languages, Intellectually In The Exchange And Reinterpretation Of Knowledge, And Visually In Architecture And The Arts, Which Reflected The Blending Of Cultural References. However, This Interaction Was Not Based On Complete Harmony; Rather, It Often Took On A Coercive Character Governed By Power Relations, Making Acculturation A Continuous Negotiation Between Belonging And Assimilation. Thus, The Discourse Of Acculturation In The Novel "Zinat Al-Dunya" Reflects A Complex Discourse Formed From Interaction, Difference, And Integration
