Abstract

The current research aims to identify the impact of art criticism on developing the perceived self-efficacy of art education department students in the drawing subject. To achieve this goal, the following hypotheses were formulated:
The research results indicate the effectiveness of the program presented to art education department students in developing perceived self-efficacy for the experimental group. The program contributed significantly to increasing perceived self-efficacy in While no change occurred in the control group, the researcher attributes the change in the experimental group to the clear response to the program by the research sample, which contributed to the change in the experimental group.
1- The program was designed according to the requirements of the study and the needs of the sample, making it compatible with their abilities.
2 -Training in artistic criticism is of great importance in developing students' perceived self-efficacy.
3- The researcher's experience in the field of art education considers art criticism as one of the methods for demonstrating a student's self-efficacy. The results also
revealed no statistically significant differences between the control group and the pre-test, i.e., before and after the program was implemented. This is due to the fact that the control group did not undergo the training program for the current study.
