Abstract
Studying the historical scientific approaches of Muslim scholars who wrote about the Prophet’s biography is one of the important issues in scientific research because it increases the researcher’s ability to understand and analyze the method followed by the hadith scholar or historian in writing the Prophet’s biography.
One of the most prominent of these hadith scholars and historians is the hadith scholar Abu Ishaq al-Fazari. Abu Ishaq al-Fazari was of Kufa origins, and a resident of Musaisi. Abu Ishaq was born in the year (108 AH), and died in the year (188 AH), and I spoke in this research on the sources that were relied upon. Al-Fazari mentioned it in his book Al-Sir, and I concluded that the resources that Al-Fazari used are divided into two parts, the first: oral resources, which consist of the declared resources, and the unknown resources, the resources that were lost due to damage to the manuscript, and the second: the written resources
