Abstract





Oil plays a major role in strengthening political relations between many countries through the multiple and interconnected economic and commercial supports it creates. Oil played a fundamental role in the growth and development of economic relations between Iraq and Jordan, but this cooperation was soon exposed to a group of difficulties and obstacles due to the emergence of A group of events and political developments in the region during the era, most notably the Second Gulf War in 1991, which hindered the growth of oil cooperation, which was the prominent feature in the development of relations between the two countries since the beginning of the eighties of the last century. This research came to shed light on the extent of the impact of the Gulf War on oil cooperation between Iraq and Jordan and the economic effects that war had on Jordan as a result of the position it adopted towards that crisis.
