The Christian Thought magazine, which was published in 1964, was rich in articles and diverse in its sections, and thus it is considered an important source for documenting the contemporary history of Iraq, Its editors were keen to publish it on time despite the financial crises that caused its double issues to be published. Great effort was made before publishing it through correspondence with the magazine’s publishers and organizing its articles and drafting them in the required manner. The magazine was able to convey its voice to its readers, whether inside or outside Iraq, to constitute a source. They have a historical record of incidents and cases that are useful to researchers.
The magazine was distinguished by its moderate journalistic and media discourse and did not engage in heated discussions and controversy over a negatively contested issue. Perhaps the magazine, in avoiding this issue, provided a model for moderate newspapers, just as it clearly expressed the moral and educational commitment of its owners to the mediaIt focused on the family, children, youth, and education, especially compulsory education, which aimed to educate the children of the poor classes of peasants and workers, who were the basis of the process of social and cultural change, to balance the educational process and give equal opportunities to everyone to eradicate illiteration
