Abstract





The research aims to define the conceptual framework of scientific research and innovation according to a geopolitical analytical vision that includes indicators of scientific research and innovation in the United Arab Emirates in order to reveal its role in determining its regional and international standing The nature of the geopolitical decline compared to some selected countries that seek to adopt the pillars of scientific research and innovation as strategic tools that contribute to building and advancing these countries in light of regional and international competition and polarization of scientific research and innovation. The study was based on conducting a geopolitical comparison with regional countries of strategic importance, namely Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, as well as the United States of America and the Zionist entity, in order to embody the reality of the geopolitical decline of scientific research and innovation indicators according to the geopolitical situation of each country, its political system and its national strategy. The research was based on a scientific hypothesis that shows that the progress of the United Arab Emirates in the field of scientific research and innovation is a cornerstone of its geopolitical power and that its regional standing has become greater than its geographical and demographic size. The research concluded that the United Arab Emirates achieved positive results compared to some countries due to its strategic vision and investment in human capital development and technological infrastructure, as these are modern geopolitical tools that enhance the UAE’s position regionally and internationally
